On The Old Issues Of Lamyanba

I came across the following interesting findings by Dr. Oinam Bhogewsor
Singh*(Sahityakar), Chingamakha Liwa Maibam Leikai. In one of
his writings about the ancient Meiteis, there seemed to have three different
types of eras (Yugs) associated with their respective religion names of
the then Meiteis. During these different Yugs, the Meitei religions had
been known under different names as the followings:
Yugs |
Religion Names |
HAYICHAK |
AREPPA |
HAYACHAK |
ACHUMBA |
LANGBACHAK |
PAKHANGBA |
After these Yugs, since the days of the then Manipuri King (Meitei
Ningthou) Khagemba, the name of the religion of this land was started
to
be known as Sanamahi Dharma.
